Fayetteville Municipal Airport
is located in southern Lincoln County Tennessee, six miles south of the city of Fayetteville. Accolades for this community airport include the "Silver Star Award", numerous "Front Door Awards", recognizing airport facilities and services that reflect community pride and a commitment to quality, awarded each year from 1993 to 2010, and was the first in the state to win the new "Red Carpet Award" in competition with all the Tennessee airports. Fayetteville has also received three special recognition awards from the Tennessee Aeronautics Commission for "Governing Body of the Year", presented in 2000 for outstanding leadership from the Airport Authority, "Airport Manager of the Year" presented in 2003 for outstanding leadership from the airport's manager, Mark Cobb, and "Airport of the Year", presented in 2009 for outstanding quality of service and hospitality provided at the Fayetteville Municipal Airport.
